It’s 2017: Recreate The Beatles’ Famous Crosswalk Photo on a 3D Crosswalk
A crosswalk in Iceland is a visionary site to behold. Painted to look 3D, the crosswalk is meant to catch the attention of driver’s and alert them of a crosswalk. Through various coloring and shading, the crosswalk looks like it’s floating.
The environmental officer behind the project, Ralf Trylla hopes it will diminish the need for speed bumps.
Inspired by crosswalks in New Delhi, India, Vegamálun GíH, the company that created the crosswalk says it’s too early to notice effectiveness, but the overall aim is to ensure safety of pedestrians.
