Hello ladies and gents, and welcome to another terrible year. I’m sure most of you have forgotten that Valentine’s Day is fast approaching, and you realized you haven’t gotten anything big planned out for your significant other yet. Well don’t fret, because we’ve got you covered! We compiled a list of great date ideas and gifts for even someone with a low budget.
Send Some Flowers
Maybe you don’t have enough money for a big expensive gift for your special lady, but still want her to know how much she means to you. Giving her flowers is pretty good, but if you have them delivered to her at work, in front of all her work friends and colleagues, she’ll really feel like the Belle of the Ball. It’s not as expensive as you might think, either. Plus, you don’t have to go anywhere. You can do it all from your bed, you magnificent lazy turd!
Have A Quiet Staycation
Nothing beats staying in and turning off your cell phone for a day of peace and quiet. Sometimes it can be a hassle to plan a big day out, getting details right, accounting for weather and traffic, the works. It can be just as good to give yourself a day off at home to kick back and just do whatever you want. You can make your special someone breakfast in bed, give them a nice massage, or even prepare a romantic bubble bath, all of which take minimal effort. MAXIMUM LAZY!
Name a Star
This is a great way to show someone how unique they are. There are so many stars in existence, I don’t even know the right amount of 0’s to use. But when you give someone a certificate showing that there is a star somewhere out there with their name, it really warms their heart up. As someone who’s given this gift twice, I can tell you it’s a home run every time.
Make a Unique Valentine’s Day Card
Going to the store and buying a generic Hallmark is a thing of the past. There are many different styles of card giving, like virtual e-cards, and pop-ups. Or you can have one specially made and hand delivered. Anyone who receives one of these will surely be taken aback.
This is a great way to both save money and look like you tried really hard, even though in reality you’re just lazy. You can make a gift that represents an inside joke, make a special meal or family recipe, or even craft a specific playlist for a person. Get creative with it, but not too creative because, you know, effort.
Home Dinner Date
This is a 3-in-1 deal. You cook a nice meal at home (Don’t have to leave), set mood lighting and get nice wine (flaring up the romance), and you can eat whatever you want that you have in the house! (Cheaper than buying a fancy dinner consisting of appetizers you don’t really like, but of course that’s what Helen wanted, so that’s what Helen got.)
Old School Day
Take a nostalgic trip back in time, and get some movies from your S.O.’s childhood, as well as old board games and TV shows. Spend the day living in the past and get brownie points for paying attention to what they liked (If you’re not sure, just call his/her mom to freshen your memory). Also, printing out some pictures to color with crayons is a great way to kill an afternoon.
Have Some Sexy Time
Valentine’s Day is preeeeeetty much a day where you’re guaranteed to get lucky, so maybe mix it up a little bit with some spice. There’s lots of fun ways to jazz things up, like edible clothing and dice with actions on them. Maybe watch a risqué movie and see where it goes. This will require a little effort, providing you take in account your partners’ wants and needs like a good spouse.
