Aaron Hernandez seems to be adjusting to life in prison fairly well. So well in fact, that he got a tattoo on his neck that says “lifetime.” In all fairness, life is all about embracing your experiences, right?
The news of the tattoo comes shortly after his apparent involvement in a gang fight in prison.
The former New England Patriots, 25, was involved in a prison fight about a month into his lifetime sentence. According to ABC News, “It was two-on-one, he was part of the two.” If movies and television have taught us anything, it’s that you need to make friends in prison to stay alive. That may be Hernandez’s game plan. That or he wants to move to maximum security so he can shovel his way to freedom.
Hernandez is serving a life sentence without parole for the murder of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd, a semi-professional football player who was dating the sister of Hernandez’s fiancée. He will also go on trial for a double murder that took place outside of a Boston nightclub in 2012. He has pleaded not guilty.
