First Pepsi, then United, now Adidas. Someone needs to hire new social media or public relations teams for these companies. Honestly.
Adidas, the official sponsor of the Boston Marathon, received insane backlash after sending out a marketing email which praised runners for “surviving” Monday’s race.

Why is that a bad thing? Well, if you recall, back in 2013, three people were killed and more than 260 were injured in the Boston Marathon bombing.
So yeah, congratulating them on surviving isn’t the best choice of words.
