Even though Black Panther has been in theaters for less than a month, it has already been confirmed that there will be a sequel. This is probably due to its incredible box office success, after passing $1 billion in the worldwide box office.

The news of the sequel came out during an interview with between Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and Entertainment Weekly. When asked about a sequel, Feige responded, “We absolutely will do that.”

“One of the favorite pastimes at Marvel Studios is sitting around on a part one and talking and dreaming about what we would do in a part two,” Feige said. “There have been plenty of those conversations as we were putting together the first Black Panther. We have ideas and a pretty solid direction on where we want to head with the second one.”

There is no plot yet for the sequel, though it would be awesome to see Storm (from the X-men) make an appearance (since she does play a major role in the comics). But there’s really no rush, because people are still lining up at the movie theaters to see the first installment in the franchise.
