Alabama Coach Nick Saban Makes History with CFB Championship Win
With the 26-23 over the Georgia Bulldogs last night, Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban is now tied with former coach Bear Bryant for the most college football national championships won. That staggering number is 6.
The closest to Saban is Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer with 3 wins, then Clemson’s coach Dabo Swinney with 1 and Texas A & M coach’s Jimbo Fisher with 1 as well.
Saban also keep his undefeated streak against his former assistants in tack too, he is now 12-0 with the win over Kirby Smart.
Smart was the defensive coordinator for the Crimson Tide for eight seasons (11 total under Saban) before being named head coach of the Georgia Bullgogs.
Alabama now has five titles under Saban since 2009.

It is hard to argue with Saban place in college football history because he has built a dynasty with Alabama. Year after year he finds a way to get the best out of his team and into the the championship picture. He has 126-20 record as a head coach and Alabama now has 14th total National championships.
