Amidst Harvey Weinstein Allegations, James Van Der Beek Recounts His Own Experiences With Sexual Harassment

Dozens of women have come forth with allegations of being sexually harassed by Harvey Weinstein over the past week, and now male celebrities are breaking the silence about their experiences with sexual harassment in the entertainment industry.

Actor Terry Crews was among the first to speak out, taking to Twitter to recount the incident in which he was a victim of inappropriate sexual groping. James Van Der Beek of Dawson’s Creek fame also recalled experiences of sexual harassment via Twitter. He also praised the women who have spoken out against Weinstein, saying, “What Weinstein is being accused of is criminal. What he’s admitted to is unacceptable – in any industry. I applaud everybody speaking out.”

Van Der Beek lauded people who were brave enough to “blow the whistle,” something which we can all appreciate. Way to go, Dawson, you nailed it.
