Android Oreo is starting to roll out across the US today on select Galaxy Note 8s. While it’s not on all Note 8s just yet, Droid Life reports that some Verizon and AT&T customers have already gotten the update. And according to Android Authority, some a few Sprint customers have access to Oreo at the time of this writing as well.
While it might seem strange that some customers of one carrier may have the update while other customers of the same carrier don’t, it’s actually a pretty common practice among these companies. By rolling updates out gradually, they hope to catch any immediate bugs which they can correct before the update reaches all of their customers.
However, not a single T-Mobile customer has received Oreo as of yet, but it is expected to arrive in the coming days.

Similarly, a post on Samsung’s community forum indicates that the company plans on having Oreo reaching all of their customers “within the next 2-3 weeks.”
So if you have a Galaxy Note 8 and are confused about why you haven’t seen Oreo arrive on you phone yet, it should be there soon.
