Apple Just Put Out a SIM-Free iPhone X, So Your Carrier Options Will Be Much More Open

Want to buy an iPhone X but don’t want to choose your carrier right away?

Well you’re in luck, because Apple just released a SIM-free version of the phone, meaning that it’s the same as any iPhone X but you won’t be restricted to one carrier upon buying it. Rather, it’s unlocked, enabling you to choose whichever network you prefer to be on. The phone also supports both GSM and CDMA networks, which is fantastic for those of you who travel frequently.

The buying process is exactly the same as if you were buying just a regular old iPhone X, as all you have to do at first is go to Apple.com and hit “Buy” on the iPhone X page. However, this time around, when the website prompts you to choose a carrier, click “Buy without a carrier” instead of choosing a network. It’ll look something like this:

Definitely give the SIM-free iPhone X a shot if it sounds like something that suits you better than a typical iPhone X would. And don’t worry about whether or not it’ll take longer to ship, as the shipping time remains at 5 days, the same for all versions of the iPhone X.
