Matt LeBlanc, known to me and everyone else as Joey from Friends, has taken a gig as the new host for BBC’s Top Gear.
Top Gear, is case you don’t know, is the planet’s biggest motoring entertainment show. Yes, it’s a place you go to get boners over cars. Really cool cars. This also happens to be the first time in the show’s 39-year-history that it hired a non-British host.
Matt LeBlanc has been on Top Gear twice as a guest on the show and he also happened to be the fastest celebrity to date around the Top Gear track in its reasonably priced car.
Current Top Gear host Chris Evans says, “Matt’s a lifelong fellow petrolhead and I’m thrilled he’s joining ‘Top Gear.’ Acting out our craziest car notions on screen is a dream job and I know we’ll both be debating some epic road trip ideas. We can’t wait to share what we’ve been up to on screen later this year.”
Matt LeBlanc commented: “As a car nut and a massive fan of ‘Top Gear,’ I’m honored and excited to be a part of this iconic show’s new chapter. What a thrill!”
This should be good.
