Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are my personal favorite Hollywood couple. Theirs is not a new love, as it dates back at least to the late ’90s with the hit film Good Will Hunting. And now the two bros have taken their game to the next level with their production company, Pearl Street Films.
You’ll love to love the company, which has backed such films as Jason Bourne, Manchester by the Sea, and Promised Land. But it only gets better, after the company announced that it is moving forward with an inclusion riders initiative.
.@michaelb4jordan Thank you for always supporting broader representation in the industry. On behalf of Pearl Street Films, Matt Damon, @BenAffleck, Jennifer Todd, Drew Vinton & I will be adopting the #InclusionRider for all of our projects moving forward. https://t.co/ODit24D2Rb

If you saw the Oscars this year, you’ll remember feeling perplexed when Frances McDormand left us with those two words in her acceptance speech. The meaning behind them is gender and racial diversity, both in front of and behind the camera. Inclusion riders have received more attention thanks to the Time’s Up and #MeToo movements, and even more since Frances asked all the women to stand up.
So if you needed another reason to love Dafleck, you’ll be happy to know which side of the fence they’re on.
