Blue Apron is a New York-based startup, their premise is selling customers ingredients and recipes for them to cook at home. Their revenue now currently matches White Castle as they plan on going public. The company has seen a stark increase in revenue since 2014, with 10 times revenue growth $795 million.
If the name sounds familiar that is probably because you’ve heard it over and over on all the podcast. It shows in their marketing campaign as they poured $66 million of their total $144 million marketing cap into offline media, namely podcasts. The large amount spent on podcasts seemingly paid off as podcasts are on the rise in terms of consumer use and consumption.
It seems like the sky’s the limit for this young company. I guess we can expect to hear more of their ads from our podcasts for years to come.
