The Body Shop Wants to End International Animal Testing

via The Good Shopping Guide

An estimated 500,000 animals are used by cosmetics companies across the globe for cosmetics testing each year. The Body Shop and Cruelty Free International are joining forces in hopes to change that fact. The two companies have created a campaign and petition to be presented to the U.N. to ban the practice — which is currently legal in 80 percent of countries worldwide — entirely.

“We were the first beauty brand to campaign against it, and today we’re fighting harder than ever alongside Cruelty-Free International. Let’s make animal testing of cosmetics a thing of the past. Sign the petition now on our website click the link in bio and make your mark!” reads The Body Shop’s Instagram caption.
