So here’s something pretty cool: there is a Chatbot that safeguards against inconsistent airline expenses. The bot is named DoNotPay and can assist customers in the fight against parking tickets. The bot can even allow you to take legal action against Equifax.
Stanford University junior, Joshua Browder is the creator of the new feature in the device. He came up with the idea after dealing with up and down airline fees as he was trying to get a flight to California during the wildfires in 2017.
Browder told The Verge that, “It annoyed me that every single flight, I could be paying sometimes double or even triple the person next to me in the same type of seat.”
You can access the feature today by signing into your Google account and typing your home/cell number, birthday, and credit card info via Stripe. The Chatbot will then inform you about the cheapest prices when you purchase a plane tickets through the plane site or third party websites like Expedia, Travelocity, Hotwire, CheapAir, and Orbitz.
The Bot have the ability to change flights and get refunds by using the rebooking guidelines such as the “24 hour rule,” weather notifications, and laws dealing with price gouging. Every couple of seconds, the bot will search for deals until the time of flight.
The bot can only be used for United States airlines within the states that are domestic or international but not for international flights to the U.S.
The app is free, and you can use your email address as the point of contact to give you information on discounts and other news.
