Is being the one who knocks just as menacing in China as it is here in the States?
It may very well be, considering the reaction to a Chinese chemistry professor who was given a life sentence for manufacturing and selling narcotics. According to the Chinese News Service, the man (identified by his surname Zhang) has been dubbed the nation’s real-life Walter White, after the Breaking Bad character brought to science-teaching, methamphetamine-distributing, Emmy-winning life by Bryan Cranston.
Zhang’s products included the psychotropic methylone, and his hauled ultimately totaled over 4 million yuan ($582,000). There is no word yet on whether or not he claimed that he was just trying to provide for his family.
