Chrissy Teigen Had No Idea What She Was Getting Into When She Asked for a Video Game Recommendation

I love video games; I’ve been playing them for years, ever since I picked up my dad’s Game Boy when I was like 3 years old. That being the case, I know just how life-consuming the best games can be. I mean, some people become so enraptured by their video games that they take over their lives to the point where they can now be diagnosed with an actual mental disorder.

This is something that can catch people new to video games off-guard, a lesson which was learned by model and TV host Chrissy Teigen after she asked for recommendations of the best 2D games to play on her Nintendo Switch.

Teigen made it clear that she was looking for something relaxing, so what better than a cute, pixelated RPG farm-building simulator like Stardew Valley?

Sounds innocent enough, right? Well, maybe not so, as people from all over Twitter came out to warn Teigen about how life-engulfing Stardew Valley can be.

After the warnings settled, other Twitter users came out to give Teigen some advice on how to make the most out of her virtual farming experience.

However, it wasn’t long before Teigen realized that Stardew Valley wasn’t the laid back, easy-to-drop-whenever-you’re-done kind of game. In fact, it had made her even more anxious than before.

So let this be a lesson to you non-gamers out there looking to enter into the medium: do some research on the games you want to play before you play them, because you never know how they might end up affecting you.
