Reboots, returns, and spin-offs, oh my! American Idol and Cash Cab have both returned to TV due to popular demand. Not to be outdone, Deal or No Deal has announced its return as well, with Howie Mandel to boot.
CNBC has announced that it will be airing the popular game show in a prime time slot later this year, after its original 2005-2009 run on NBC. The show will be almost identical to its original setup, with a few tweaks. For one, the original briefcase girl, Meghan Markle, may not have as much time to hold those cases these days, what with being married into royalty and all. Likewise, Chrissy Teigen and Claudia Jordan have their hands a bit too full to reprise their old roles.
But CNBC thinks that its new lineup of financial and educational shows, such as The Profit and Shark Tank, will be benefited greatly by the addition of the new old series. This was one of the few game shows I actually enjoyed, and I eagerly await its return.
