We all know that whenever celebrities are roaming around in public, they’re going to get spotted, and it’s going to spark some controversy in some form or another. This past weekend, Demi Lovato was photographed at Disneyland, but it wasn’t just any celeb photo: Lovato was shown holding hands with another woman, who is reportedly DJ/producer Lauren Abedini.
While two women holding hands is not necessarily indicative of a romantic relationship, the possibility of Demi Lovato dating a woman has people buzzing and fans are absolutely loving it, both inside and outside the LGBTQ+ community.

Although she is not quite as widely known as Demi Lovato, Abedini has carved out a nice music career of her own, receiving some pretty large amounts of critical acclaim for her work as DJ KITTENS. She is also an avid feminist and charity supporter, hosting PWR, a series of non-profit workshops for the benefit of women. All proceeds donated to the program go to local women’s shelter.

While Abedini herself is openly out and Lovato is not, she has hinted about her sexuality through interviews about her lyrics. British television host Alan Carr, who is also openly gay, discussed with Lovato her lyrics in which she may be hinting at having had sexual relations with another woman. During the interview she said, “I am not confirming and I’m definitely not denying. All of my songs are based off of personal experiences. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with experimentation at all.”
Afterwards, Carr said, “I experimented once and it stuck.” In response, Lovato gave him a pretty amazing response with, “Hey, I didn’t say that it didn’t stick either. I didn’t say that it didn’t stick.”
Again, most of the rumors surrounding Lovato and Abedini are, well, rumors. But fans everywhere agree that it would be pretty awesome if they were true. Since the photos were taken at Disneyland, maybe Mickey would know for sure?
