Time magazine named its “Person of the Year” the “Silence Breakers” – which consists of a group of women and men who helped ignite the conversation about sexual harassment and assault. Now keep in mind that Time based its list of people who “for better or worse have done the most to influence the events of the year,” so the title of Person of the Year isn’t always an honor.

But even so, many were upset when Time named the survivors of sexual assault as “Person of the Year” while naming President Trump, whose been accused of sexual harassment in the past, as runner-up.

Demi Lovato is one of the many people upset with Time‘s decision to make Trump its runner up. The singer took to Twitter to voice her frustration.

She believed that the decision should’ve been based on the “bravery” of the individual rather than the impact and controversy they caused.

She also retweeted a post which claimed that Kesha should have been added to lineup. Kesha spent years in a legal battle against a music producer who she claimed sexually assaulted her.
