Disney knows how to build snowmen and keep them from melting, wherein “snowmen” are “mega-franchises” in this metaphor.
To wit: Olaf’s Frozen Adventure is a 21-minute short film featuring Josh Gad reprising his role as the carrot-nosed fellow, as well as the returns of Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, and Jonathan Groff as Elsa, Anna, and Kristoff, respectively. It will be playing for a limited time in theaters before the upcoming Pixar feature Coco when it opens on November 22.
I’ve heard of shorts playing before Pixar films, but a 20-minute long one? Those tots’ll be catatonic by the end of Coco!
The question I have now is: will this trailer also play before the Coco trailer whenever the latter is shown at the theater? I pretty much watch all my trailers on the YouTube nowadays, so I’m a little behind on the proper protocol.
