Donald Trump Hosts Sarah Palin, Ted Nugent and Kid Rock at the White House

On Wednesday, Donald Trump played host to a peculiar cast of characters.

Ted Nugent, Sarah Palin and Kid Rock all payed a visit to the Oval Office in what can best be described as either a conservative’s wet dream, or a liberal’s worst nightmare. And to be clear, they were all there at the same time.

I imagine that White House dinner felt like my family’s Thanksgiving dinner: a bunch of old, white conservatives half-arguing, half-agreeing with each other about politics, using information that may or may not be correct, but validates their own personal preconceptions about the world…and there may have been gravy.

While the president was able get some much-deserved R&R after his stay(s) at Mar-a-Lago, the meeting wasn’t all fun and games.

I can sleep soundly at night knowing our president is getting sound input from the man that wrote “Cat Scratch Fever,” the man that wrote “You Never Met a Motherfucker Quite Like Me,” and the woman that made many write John McCain off as a valid president.

Aside from the insight they offered to Trump, the White House guests also shed some light on the age old question, “How many conservatives does it take to gloat about how Hillary Clinton lost the election?”
