Every Friday, NewsCult Entertainment Editor Jeffrey Malone recommends the entertainment essentials of the week – at least three, often more, and usually at least one cinematic and at least one televisual, but it could be ANY combination.

1. Movie: Uncle Drew (Theatrically Nationwide) – If you have a chance to see Uncle Drew in a packed theater, take it. Otherwise, your best viewing options are probably a bus trip or your friend’s basement once it comes out on DVD. Kyrie Irving stars as the titular geriatric streetball legend. It could be this generation’s Space Jam, and it wouldn’t be totally undeserving.

2. Movie: Three Identical Strangers (Limited Theatrically) – This documentary tells the story of three fellas who met each other and were amazed to discover that they looked exactly alike, and furthermore, they were triplets separated at birth! They quickly become inseparable, but then deeper, darker truths about their circumstances are revealed, and Three Identical Strangers just keeps piling up the details that make it a true story like no other.

3. TV: GLOW Season 2 (June 29 on Netflix) – The Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling are back! They’re getting into production on the show – will they end up becoming a worldwide phenomenon? Probably not, considering that they were only ever a niche sensation in real life. But as GLOW is a fictionalization, it could go crazy with its own alternative version if it wishes. That might be a bit over-the-top, though; generally, the silly shenanigans remain in the ring. Either way, I’ll be watching.
