The Black Panther hype is becoming a little to much to bear. There is just a little over a month to go until the film’s premiere and yet another trailer has been released, building the hype to an unsurmountable level. The new trailer grants us a little more insight into why exactly the King of Wakanda and Erik Killmonger collide.
In the initial scene, Martin Freeman reprises his role as CIA agent Everett Ross from Captain America: Civil War. While interrogating a potential suspect, hes questions Black Panther’s existence in a manner which surely has some underlying meaning, as it parallels a common societal thought.
“You’re telling me that the king of a third world country runs around in a bulletproof catsuit?”
From there, Erik Killmonger wreaks havoc throughout the rest of the trailer, eventually releasing whoever this unknown potential suspect is (0:39). Whoever the mystery guy is, he and Killmonger definitely have some kind of deal going on.
The trailer features new music from Vince Staples, which is likely to be the second single on the Kendrick-produced soundtrack.
Black Panther premieres in theaters February 16th. Watch the new spot below:
