Fox News Anchor Laura Ingraham Insults David Hogg, Internet Fires Back

In news that should surprise me, but totally doesn’t, a Fox News anchor mocked one of the Parkland school shooting survivors. Laura Ingraham tweeted to make fun of David Hogg, the 17-year-old who has become an unofficial spokesperson for gun control.

Hogg mentioned that he had been rejected from four colleges, which apparently angered fully-grown Ingraham. “David Hogg Rejected By Four Colleges To Which He Applied and whines about it,” she wrote. She also added that being rejected by UCLA with a 4.1 GPA was “predictable.”

Hogg’s younger sister, a 14-year-old student at Stoneman Douglas, had no problem calling out the news anchor. Not only did she tell Ingraham to “grow up,” she also suggested that her ratings must be suffering pretty badly to stoop to attacking a high schooler’s (fairly impressive) grades.

Other people came to Hogg’s defense, such as his peer Jaclyn Corlin.

Even far-right figure Mike Cernovich chimed in to point out that attacking children for their grades is “not a good look.”

Hogg didn’t need others to defend them, though. He simply listed Ingraham’s top advertisers and told the people to organize and boycott. The most mature response? Maybe not, but at least Hogg is actually a high schooler and not just acting like one.

I guess this messy bitch is getting what she deserves!
