Google has done it again.
To celebrate the start of Pride Month, Google is honoring American artist and LGBTQ rights activist Gilbert Baker, who created the rainbow flag to represent the LGBTQ community. According to TIME, Baker, who died last year at 65, would have turned 66 today.
TIME reports that the flag got its start when in 1978, Harvey Milk, the poster boy for gay rights, asked Baker to create an symbol that would represents the community and it’s supporters. Thus, the LGBTQ flag came to be.
Happy Pride month!!!!
