The royal family has quite the influence on the UK. Street artist Pegasus decked out the back of a van commemorating the engagement of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. After spray painting the back of the van he drove across central London.
The graffiti is meant to depict each of them on the night of the bachelor and bachelorette parties: Markle is dressed as Madonna and Prince Harry is, well, naked, a salute to his former years as a party boy.
“I wanted to give her a fun hen do outfit and ‘Like a Virgin’ dress with Boy Toy accessories felt like the right way to go,” Pegasus said. As he drove the van near landmarks such as Trafalgar Square and Westminster Abbey, the police stopped him.
Pegasus said the van “raised a few red flags.” When he got pulled over, the police wanted to search the van and asked Pegasus, “what are you actually doing?” Pegasus said, “I’m celebrating the announcement.” The cops then asked, “do you think it’s funny?” and told him not to drive around that area anymore.
But Pegasus says he is truly excited about the engagement and that he signed up for news alerts about the royals.”It’s been a tough year,” he said, “something like this is the thing we have all been waiting for.”
