It is not breaking news to say that we live in crazy times. The U.S. President threatens nuclear war over Twitter. Seemingly half the men in Hollywood are sexual predators. The Buffalo Bills are in the NFL playoffs.
Finally, as if descending from the heavens, a hero emerges, one who has provided us with the perfect photo to respond to whatever wild headlines 2018 brings, with great potential to go viral.
That hero is Hugh Jackman, on the night of the Golden Globes, after he lost for Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical to James Franco.

Jackman’s expression, with the perfect blend of disbelief and horror, captures how all of us feel, at all times in these turbulent years. And the internet responded accordingly.

Jackman was nominated for his performance as P.T. Barnum in The Greatest Showman. But Franco won the big prize for his performance as writer/director/actor/dreamer Tommy Wiseau in The Disaster Artist.
