Burn, baby, burn. Also: reborn, baby, reborn.

Entertainment Weekly went ahead and put Sophie Turner on the cover of its First Look issue because the mag has a first look of Turner in the most fire role of her career: the flaming Jean Grey of X-Men: Dark Phoenix.

The Phoenix saga – one of the most beloved storylines from the comics – was already kind of featured in 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand, but it ended up getting subsumed by everything else going on in that mess of a movie. But now that Turner has inherited the role from Famke Janssen, it is time for a second go-round that sounds like it might just be successful.

The Simon Kinberg-directed Dark Phoenix, due out in theaters November 2, 2018, will be the first X-Men movie IN SPACE. Because that’s where the Dark Phoenix saga has to take place, baby.

Looking at that cover, Sophie makes me realize that I should hang out in topless corpse pose more often. But maybe without the fire. As Frankenstein(‘s Monster) says, “FIRE BAD!”
