If anyone hasn’t heard, the second season of American Crime Story centers around fashion designer and icon Gianni Versace, who was murdered at age 50 on the steps of his Miami Beach mansion by serial killer Andrew Cunanan. It was a tragic event that shook the fashion world, and to this day, it is not completely known why Cunanan killed Versace. We only know that Versace was Cunanan’s fifth and final victim, and that he had a bit of an obsession with him. He even thought of Versace as a close friend, which was obviously a delusion of grandeur.

But putting aside the tragic nature of a creative visionary cut down too soon, Late Late Show host James Corden took a look at some of the more humorous aspects of the show’s accurate depictions of life à la Versace. Corden couldn’t help but note the abundance of tank tops in the show and how the walls of every room seemed to be pink!

Furthermore, the show keeps the audience on track with gentle reminders of what it is all about. Specifically, the name “Versace” is on everyone’s tongue all the time. The name is spoken to such an extent that Corden couldn’t resist throwing together a mashup of the American hip hop trio Migos’ song “Versace” with clips from the show.

It was a stroke of genius.

The mashup begins around the 4:05 mark if you want to skip ahead, and is even capped off with some amazing footage of Kanye West going wild over how much he freakin’ loves Versace. Check it out below:
