Jay-Z’s music video for “Moonlight” from his album 4:44 finally dropped.
The first part of the music video is a complete remake of Friends with an all-black cast. Eventually, you start to understand that the video is actually dealing with the way race is seen in the entertainment industry. Towards the ends of the video, Jerrod Carmichael (who plays Ross in the Friends parody) eventually grows sick of the role he’s in and walks through the door into a green field where he looks up at the moon all night.
At that point, the recording of the infamous La La Land/ Moonlight Best Picture debacle started playing.
