John Mayer is infamous for his musical talents and the roster of A-List women he’s dated, but he might go in the history books for inventing the “on hold” chatroom. Us “regular people” struggle with being placed on hold but even celebs have the same problem, which is why Mayer requested the chatroom.
Mayer went to Twitter to recommend that “they should let everyone on hold with customer service talk to one another.” Twitter erupted with support for this idea, praising Mayer for his genius. The chatroom would be a great way to pass the time while holding on for a customer service representative and Twitter is all for it.
