Ontario judge, Bernd Zabel, is expected to face a 30-day suspension without pay in face of wearing a hat with Donald Trump’s (somehow) illustrious campaign slogan, “Make America Great Again.” Zabel had over 81 complaints, with the main concern being that his misconduct raised questions regarding his ability to maintain impartiality.
With his reputation, and job at stake, Zabel has since delivered an apology. While some feel this is a sheer display of over exertion of power, others feel a 30 day suspension was only a slap on the wrist, with the thought that we should hold those in the justice department to a higher standard.
Slap on the wrist – lot of crap https://t.co/UbtQZts7em

Unpaid suspension is the most severe sanction short of recommending the judge's removal from office. https://t.co/LcjeXDnNcy

That’s some poor judgement on the part of a judge.
