Amazon Studios has released the teaser trailer for Dan Fogelman’s Life Itself. The teaser aired during last night’s episode of This Is Us, but in case you’re as uninterested in that show as I am, it’s now available online. In the teaser, Oscar Isaac and Olivia Wilde portray a loving couple, although it’s unclear what else is exactly going on.
Amazon Studios describes the film as centering around a couple “that lead a multi generational love story spanning both decades and continents, from the streets of New York to the Spanish countryside, and are all connected by a single event.”
The teaser has a lot of faces flashing across the screen to the tune of Band of Horses’ “The Funeral,” which is cheesy enough (sorry). It also says things like, “No one knows where their story is going. Nor who the heroes in it are going to be.”
So, I mean, I’m not exactly sure what this movie is going to be about, but I have a pretty good guess. It’s probably something you could cry to, if you’re into that.
Life Itself comes to theaters September 21.
