Miranda Lambert is doing her part in the wake of Hurricane Harvey to help dogs and pets displaced in Houston by the storm.
The Texas-born country singer mobilized the members of her MuttNation Foundation to do what they can to rescue dogs, cats, and other domesticated pets.
Lambert joined her MuttNation team to help with relief efforts, and has posted social media updates throughout the week. The organization has saved and relocated more than 230 animals to safety over the last three days.
Lambert posted this adorable pic of a family of dogs which she looked after overnight Tuesday:
My roommates tonight sure are cute! Mama and newborns that were born this morning. Im calling her Ashley after @ashleymonroemusic who just had a baby herself. @muttnationfoundation rescued 72 dogs today who are being transported to dry safe shelters across the country. Thanks for yalls support. Stay tuned tomorrow and continue to pray. #muttnationfoundation #hurricaneharvey #texasstrong #elvirathebus #tourbusrescue
The singer also shared a photo of multiple trucks working with MuttNation that are headed to Texas. “We’re here for you Texas. #[email protected],” she wrote.

The singer launched MuttNation alongside her mother, Bev Lambert, in 2009. The foundation promotes the adoption of shelter pets and works “hand in hand with private and municipal animal shelters.”
On Wednesday she highlighted the hard work the volunteers of her foundation are doing: “Thx to some amazing transportation volunteers, we sent over 70 pups to a shelter in OK today. Rigs now rolling into Houston for another load.”
Lambert is one of many celebrities who have donated or volunteered their time to relief efforts following Hurricane Harvey. Sandra Bullock has donated $1 million, and Kevin Hart has donated $50,000 toward relief efforts. Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have both donated, as well as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, rapper T.I, and the Kardashian-Jenner clan.
