Multivitamins are Useless according to a new study
The meta-analysis went through all the studies done on multivitamins from January 2012 to October 2017.
After reducing the dataset to 179 randomized-controlled studies – the researchers found that “conclusive evidence for the benefit of any supplement across all dietary backgrounds (including deficiency and sufficiency) was not demonstrated.”
David Jenkins, a nutritionist at the St. Michael’s Hospital and University of Toronto said in a statement, “Our review found that if you want to use multivitamins, vitamin D, calcium, or vitamin C, it does no harm – but there is no apparent advantage either.”
