Netflix’s New Series ‘Nailed It’ is the People’s Baking Show

One of Netflix’s newest releases has a pretty entertaining premise, and people are loving it. Nailed It, hosted by comedian Nicole Byer and chocolatier Jacques Torres, is like an absurdist American version of The Great British Baking Show meets a meme come to life: amateur chefs must attempt to recreate Pinterest-worthy baked goods. The judges are pretty much there to laugh at the contestants, but it’s all in good fun.

So, if you’ve ever tried to make snowman cookies that came out look more like Bigfoot than Frosty, you’ll appreciate the realistic nature of this show. Fans are also loving Byers, whose main job includes harassing the winner of the first round in order to help the others catch up. Nobody is eliminated in the first round, and that’s hardly the point of the show, anyway.

Byer tweeted out some pretty hilarious baking fails to promote the new series:

It seems like Netflix really nailed it with this show, even if the contestants do not.
