New ‘Wet Hot American Summer’ Feature Brings Back Familiar Faces [Video]

Wet Hot American Summer

The newest video to be released concerning Netflix’s Wet Hot American Summer prequel series is a behind-the-scenes featurette, starring faces of old who are now…old. Kicked off by the voice of H. Jon Benjamin, the short video has interviews with returning stars Paul Rudd, Amy Poehler and Bradley Cooper, as well as with newcomer John Slattery.

Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp brings back a huge cast (most of whom grew up to become Hollywood stars) in a prequel to the 2001 cult film Wet Hot American Summer. Much of the video shows characters talk about what it is like to play teenage versions of their original characters, 15 years after the fact.

Wet Hot American Summer covered the final day of Camp Firewood back in 2001, but the new Netflix prequel series (consisting of eight half-hour episodes) begins with the first day of camp in the year 1981.

Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp begins streaming on Netlflix on July 31. Until then, check out this behind-the-scenes feature and the series’ first trailer to catch up.
