Despite the fact that actual numbers are missing, Nintendo is being loud and clear that the Nintendo Switch and its launch title — The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild — have both broke launch records for Nintendo in the Americas.

And here’s what a Nintendo spokesperson had to say:

Nintendo of America confirms that Friday-Saturday sales in the America’s for Nintendo Switch were the highest for the first two days of sales for any system in Nintendo’s history. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild also enjoyed a positive response with amazing review scores, and is the best-selling launch title in Nintendo’s history in that same two-day initial time period.

So essentially, according to Fils-Aime, the Nintendo Switch has exceeded the first two-days sales of any previous console, and Zelda: Breath of the Wild has smashed all stand-alone sales of previous Nintendo video games, including Super Mario 64 which has held the record for Nintendo’s top-selling launch title for 20 years. That means there are people who bought the Switch that weren’t yet born when Super Mario 64 came out.

I feel old.
