Oh the Irony, Death Wish Coffee has Been Recalled for Being Deadly

Death Wish Coffee introduced itself during the 2016 Super Bowl, which portrayed vikings shouting and rowing boats into someone’s mouth. The coffee company is based in a small town in Upstate, New York.

Death Wish Coffee is currently having their Nitro Brew cans recalled. Although Death Wish has an insane amount of caffeine in their brews, the reason is because traces of a deadly toxin have been found.

The toxin, Clostridium botulinum, causes an illness that attacks the nerves and weakens muscles. In most cases, it could even cause death. Although no reports of illnesses have occurred as of late, Death Wish founder Mike Brown has apologized and the company has taken full responsibility.

“We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause our customers and our retail partners, but we believe this is the right precautionary measure to take,” said a statement from the company about the recall.

To fully understand how much caffeine is in a cup of Death Wish Coffee, each cup has almost 100 more milligrams than the recommended daily dose for adults. 472 vs. 400.
