Netflix has been going through a lot of changes the past few years, so appropriately enough, it has just renewed one of its shows that is all about the changes that everyone undergoes. Big Mouth, the Nick Kroll-created animated series about adolescents being visited by the Hormone Monster and Monstress, just announced that it will keep growing and maturing for at least one more season via this video:
BM Season 1 premiered just a few weeks ago on September 29, but there will be a fast enough turnaround in production that Season 2 will apparently be ready by some time in 2018. Considering how long it typically takes to put together an animated series, I suspect that this renewal was never too much in doubt.
I have only watched the first episode so far, but it was strong enough that I will surely keep at it. I better get to it soon, as I don’t want to be behind already when Season 2 eventually debuts.
For those of you on the fence about Big Mouth, it should be noted that its voice cast is made up of some of the biggest names in today’s comedy world, including Kroll, John Mulaney, Jessi Klein, Jason Mantzoukas, Jenny Slate, Maya Rudolph, Fred Armisen, and Jordan Peele, plus more guest stars than you can shake your stick at.
