Marc Jacobs and LVMH will soon both be honored at the Parsons New School for Design’s 67th annual Fashion Benefit, set for May 19 in New York. Jacobs will be honored for his “vision and singular aesthetic.”
Marc Jacobs International, launched in 1993, is now a fashion empire with two lines of ready-to-wear for women and men, as well as bags, accessories, shoes and fragrances. Jacobs was also the creative director of Louis Vuitton from 1997 to 2014.
Joel Towers, executive dean of Parsons said:
“Marc Jacobs is one of our most prestigious alumni and a guiding light in the fashion industry. LVMH reminds us every day how corporate success and creativity can beautifully coexist. Both honorees will enrich our most important fund-raiser of the year.”
