Pokemon is fantastic. We all know this. This year is Pokemon’s 20th anniversary, and Game Freak’s Junichi Masuda is looking back on the time he spent developing Red and Green. It actually sounds really hard.
Apparently Masuda’s computers kept overheating and would break down all the time when he was making Pokemon Red and Green. He went through four computers in six years!
“I sure am glad I fixed those computers back then,” Masuda said. “If I hadn’t, the original Red and Green games might never have come out! That’s a scary thought!”
That’s something else, man. He shares some other memories in the video, and it’s absolutely worth the watch. Seriously though, imagine a world without Pokemon. I can’t imagine that, since this particular franchise has to be one of my favorites ever made. Happy 20th anniversary, and here’s to 20 more years!
Speaking of the 20th anniversary, eleven legendaries are being given out in the new games, which are Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire, X, and Y. Make sure you go and get your Mew as soon as you can!
