Puerto Rican Governor Requests $4 Billion for Relief Funding From Congress

Puerto Rican governor Ricardo Rosselló has requested $4 billion to “meet the immediate emergency needs of Puerto Rico” via a three-page letter sent to congressional leaders.

The request for further funding comes not long after Donald Trump said that Puerto Ricans haven’t done enough by themselves to recover from Hurricane Maria. Time will tell if the remainder of the federal government will provide Puerto Rico with the help it needs.
