‘Up’ in Real Life: Man Flies Across South Africa Strapped to a Bunch of Balloons

When boredom hits an all-time high.

Let’s pretend this is totally normal.

People, once and for all, when you see a movie, it’s just a movie. It doesn’t mean you need to replicate what the ACTOR did. Although, to be far, after I watched Eat, Pray, Love, I was convinced that I wanted to moved to an Ashram in Indian for like, a year, and figure my shit out. But that’s neither here nor there.

Anyway, a British man by the name of Tom Morgan, who happens to be the founder of The Adventuristsflew 15.5 miles across South Africa it strapped to 100 helium balloons.

No, I’m not kidding (see video above).

Morgan was initially going to float over Botswana, but when that failed, he moved it to South Africa.

Morgan told the BBC,

“The problem was finding a good weather window and it was difficult to protect the balloons as they kept bursting.”

Really? YOU THINK?

Morgan said that his ballon-flight was “unbelievably cool” and that it made him feel “somewhere between terrified and elated.”

How fun.
