Ricky Gervais Bonded With God on Twitter, and Everyone Got to Watch

Ricky Gervais took to Twitter on Monday to promote his new stand-up special Humanity that would be available for live-stream on Netflix at midnight. It will be his first comedy special in over seven years, and apparently he has come strapped with a proverbial arsenal of assorted commentary on celebrities, mortality, and living in a world where everything is an offense and everything is taken personally.

Showing the world that he is still the same old Ricky Gervais, he lassoed God Himself into his promotional work on Twitter, well at least @TheTweetofGod, and had some words with Him that actually ended pretty amicably. Which is surprising. Especially coming from the comic who tweeted: “Everyone has the right to believe whatever they want. And everyone else has the right to find it fucking ridiculous.”
