Stephen Colbert Calls for a ‘Million Meryl March,’ Which is Alliteration We Can Get Behind

Hey guys, remember that legendary actress who won a lifetime achievement award and gave an acceptance speech that got people a-twittering a couple days ago? Remember the reaction of one guy in particular?

Donald Trump has said and done a lot of things that Stephen Colbert has taken exception to, but suggesting that Meryl Streep is not an undeniably fine entertainer is a bridge too far (or the latest bridge too far, as it were). It is enough to convince the Late Show host to head to Washington on January 21 for the Women’s March on Washington, redubbing it the “Million Meryl March.”

Elsewhere in Colbert’s monologue, he discusses the usual suspects: hacking, nepotism, doublespeak. Then he keeps it light by mentioning how embarrassing the New York Giants are.
