Subway is not just serving a $5 dollar foot-long, they are serving some major thoughts on an upcoming court decision.
A Subway franchise in Melbourne has gotten in on the much debated marriage equality proposal, which is up for approval this Thursday by the High Court. Store owner, Steve King, had explained that the pro equality messages had been printed on receipts for weeks and hopes that it will encourage the vote in the appeal’s favor.
King goes on to explain that his store has been handing out pamphlets and badges in support of the appeal; stating that at its core, Subway is in support of respect. King has stated that “we are committed to treating every person with honor, dignity and respect — regardless of their beliefs, race, creed, sexual orientation or gender”.
