Thai Jails Use the Amy Winehouse Documentary to Scare Kids Straight

Juvenile delinquents in Thailand have it pretty good (not really, as the country’s notorious for having awful laws and awful prisons). The Thai Health Promotion Foundation and the Stop Drink Network have been screening the Amy Winehouse docAmy, to scare kids straight.

Kamron Chudecha of the Stop Drink Network said, “I think Amy’s story is a real story that reflects real problems in the society, especially among teenagers. It’s not too late for the students to find their gifts and learn from her mistakes … Amy lost the battle, but these kids still have a chance.”

New weekend plan: Pretend like we’re in a Thai prison and finally watch Amy.
