The Black Eyed Peas Recruit All Star Lineup for New Version of ‘Where is the Love?’

Black Eyed Peas

The 2003 Black Eyed Peas hit “Where is the Love?” was a call for harmony in response to the attacks of September 11. But since there have still been tragedies in the 15 years since (Paris, Belgium, Orlando, Dallas, Turkey, Alton Brown, Philando Castile), they have decided that they need to get the message back out there with a new version of the track.

The Peas have recruited a “We Are the World”-level roster of featured artists for the new version, including Jamie Foxx, Ty Dolla $ign, Mary J. Blige, Diddy, Cassie, Andra Day, The Game, Tori Kelly, V. Bozeman, Jessie J, French Montana, Justin Timberlake, DJ Khaled, Usher, Nicole Scherzinger, A$AP Rocky and Jaden Smith, as well as a 40-member children’s choir. A video was also released, which features appearances from Sandra Sterling (aunt of Alton), Valerie Castile (mother of Philando), Dallas Police Chief David O. Brown, Snoop Dogg, Rosario Dawson, Connie Britton, Quincy Jones, Lance Bass and others.

The track is available as an Apple exclusive for the next 24 hours. All proceeds go to the i.am.angel foundation, a non-profit founded by will.i.am with the goal of “transforming lives through education, inspiration and opportunity.” The Peas also made a video to explain their reasoning for the new release, which you can watch below.
