There’s A Smart Button That Orders Pizza For You
In this day and age, it’s not hard to order pizza. You can do it over the phone, through an app, or even on your Xbox. But some pizza lovers have loftier dreams still. Enter this triumph of innovation and progress.
At the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, an Italian startup called La Comanda is putting a prototype of their invention, Click’N’Pizza, in the spotlight. This button is supposed to make ordering pizza a one click experience. After you customize the order through the application, you sit back and relax, because your pizza is on its way. The button also doubles as a refrigerator magnet.
You can customize the order on the go by turning the button, which can also show you the amount of time you have to wait for your pizza. The display can also be used to let you know about promotions the pizzeria is having. For example, if it’s your birthday, the button might let you know that you can receive two pizzas for the price of one.
The button connects to your Wi-Fi connection, and the battery lasts for about ten days, at which point you’ll have to charge your phone via a standard micro USB.
The idea of a one click pizza solution isn’t a new one. Back in 2012, we saw something really similar in the VIP Fridge Magnet from Dubai.
The cool thing about this is that La Comanda claims to have a deal with Pizza Hut, and fans of Pizza Hut will be able to use the magic one click pizza button to order as early as the summer of this year.
I like pizza as much as the next person, so I’m actually kind of excited to see if this pans out.
